Copper View Animal Hospital is a multi-doctor, full service animal hospital and will take emergency cases as well as routine medical, surgical, and dental issues. Our licensed veterinarians are experienced in all types of conditions and treatments. Beyond first rate pet care, we make our clinic comfortable, kid-friendly, and a very calm environment so your pet can relax in the waiting room and look forward to meeting his or her own veterinarian.

    Dr. Nathan Stefanoff
    Veterinarian

    Dr. Stefanoff was raised in the small town of Delta, Utah.  He was raised on a family farm, where he developed a strong love and appreciation for animals. During high school and college he worked with the veterinarian of his home town, who inspired him to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. 

    Dr. Stefanoff attended Utah State University and earned a bachelors degree in Bio-Veterinary Science with a minor in Chemistry. He graduated from Colorado State University earning his doctorate degree in veterinary medicine in 2006. After veterinary school, Dr. Stefanoff completed an internship at a very busy referral and emergency animal hospital in Mesa Arizona. The internship was a great learning experience with an emphasis in internal medicine and surgery. 

    Dr. Stefanoff has many hobbies most of which involve animals. He loves the outdoors and spending time with his family, many of whom live in the Herriman/Riverton area. Dr. Stefanoff primarily works with dogs and cats and has special interests in surgery and internal medicine.

    Dr. Rebecca Y. Amesbury
    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Rebecca Young Amesbury was born and raised in Gilroy, California. It was her plan from an early age to become a veterinarian. Her love for all kinds of animals, and the people who associate with them, was enhanced by working at veterinary practices in Gilroy and Hollister, California. She served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Santiago, Chile. Upon her return she received her bachelor’s degree in Bio-Veterinary Science from Utah State University in 2003, and her doctorate from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. She practiced veterinary medicine in Spokane, Washington for four years before relocating to Utah. 

    Dr. Amesbury currently resides in Herriman, Utah, with her husband, their four children, and a silly Sphynx cat. They enjoy serving in their church, and love the beauty of nature, reading, music, and spending time with neighbors and family.

    Dr. Hope Teyler
    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Hope Teyler was raised in the small town of Alamosa, Colorado. She decided in the 8th grade that she wanted to be a veterinarian, and never wavered from that course. As a senior in high school she was awarded Colorado State University's Vet Start Scholarship which allowed her to be admitted to veterinary school after completing 3 years of undergraduate work at Colorado State.

    Dr. Teyler earned her doctorate degree from CSU in 2004. After veterinary school she practiced outside Palm Springs, CA for 3 years before relocating to a practice in Park City, UT. In 2011, she took a job as the Resident Veterinarian at Broadview University, veterinary technician school, for the West Jordan, UT campus. Dr. Teyler joined Copper View in 2014 as a relief veterinarian and came on as a full time associate in 2015.

    Dr. Teyler's special interests as a veterinarian include dentistry and feline medicine. She adores both dogs and cats, but has a particular passion for improving the overall veterinary experience for felines.

    When Dr. Teyler is not at work, she loves spending time with her 4 cats- Sally, Jon Snow, Rhaegar, and Tormund. She enjoys playing the piano, swimming, fishing, and gardening.

    Dr. James Kershisnik
    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Kershisnik graduated with his DVM degree from the Washington State University/Utah State University joint program in 2018 and chose Copper View to begin his career, bringing his amazing skills and knowledge. He chose to become a veterinarian because he wanted to help people take care of their pets. Dr. Kershisnik loves working at Copper View because the environment is so positive and that everyone who works here has the clients’ best interests at heart. His special interest is in  surgery which he is very good at.

    When he isn’t working, Dr. Kershisnik loves spending time with his wife and 3 kids- 2 boys and 1 girl. He also has 2 dogs- a whippet name Nigel and a chihuahua named Olive. In his spare time he loves to listen to music, play games with friends, and hang out with his kids.
